The "Test Locks" Stage

The first step to getting Sisterlocks is to get "test locks," a few locks of different sizes and patterns place strategically throughout the head to see how the hair texture "reacts" to them.  My mom (Sisterlocks technician) instructed me to come two weeks before my full-head installation to have the test locks installed.  She also instructed me to not put anything except water and the Sisterlocks Moisture Treatment in my hair throughout those two weeks.  Here are pics of how I styled my hair to hide the Sisterlocks during those two weeks:

This style worked perfectly for me!  What I did to achieve this style was first put large two-strand twists in my hair while damp, then put the Sisterlocks Moisture Treatment throughout my hair, and rolled then ends with perm rods.  I then put the majority of my hair in a "ponytail" with a Lilla Rose clip, and twisted and "poofed up" the front, then tied the end back with bobby pins.  Worked like a charm! :)
